General characteristics

Aesthetic surgery is a branch of medicine that deals with improving a person's appearance by surgical means, correcting the problem areas of the face and body. There are two types of cosmetic surgery - aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. The peculiarity of aesthetic surgery is that the surgical intervention performed on completely healthy person.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery  is a section of surgical science that studies diseases and injuries of the oral cavity, soft tissues of the face, neck and facial bones.

Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery performs surgeries at:


  • inflammatory diseases of maxillofacial region;
  • injuries;
  • a variety of tumors and neoplasms;
  • congenital and acquired defects and deformities of the mouth, face, neck and teeth.

Lifting of the eyebrows and forehead, plastic surgery of the eyelid. Indications for this surgical intervention are eyebrows ptosis, overhanging eyelids, wrinkles on the forehead. This procedure can be carried out both under general or local anesthesia.

Otoplasty. The indications for this procedure are deformed or protruding ears. Otoplasty procedure itself lasts more than two hours.

Rhinoplasty. The purpose of this procedure is to improve the shape and correct the size of the nose of the patient to achieve its aesthetic. Rhinoplasty surgery is performed only in patients who have reached adulthood. The procedure itself takes place under general anesthesia.

Implantation. The surgical implantation of cheekbones helps to highlight this area of the face and is carried out only for patients in middle age, when the growth of craniofacial bones is completed. Surgery for mandibular implantation helps solve the problem of a narrow lower jaw. It lasts no more than one hour and is performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on the wishes of the patient. It does not require additional hospitalization.
