The US Agency for International Development (USAID)
Created by President John Kennedy in 1961 USAID is responsible for non-military US aid (economic and social development) to other countries. The main directions of the Agency activity is to support a trade, agriculture, economic growth, health, emergency humanitarian aid and assistance in conflict prevention and support for democracy in more than 100 countries. On the funding of USAID programs annually allocates about 1% of the US federal budget. USAID Mission exists in most countries of the world.
Together with the US International Development Agency (USA ID) from 1993 to 2003 was carried out the project which resulted in the development of program for prenatal management of pregnant women in accordance with international standards, implemented educational programs for patients and staff, implemented a technique of cervical screening method by Pappanikolau (PAP test), colposcopy, leep. There were also implemented protocols for management of pregnancy and gynecological patients.
