A few days ago a 26 -year-old pregnant woman was hit by a car while crossing the street and was transported to MC Erebouni. She was diagnosed with a splenic rupture, internal bleeding. The Head of General and Thoracic Surgery Department Dr. Ara Vardanyan for the first time in Armenia carried out intervention, thanks to which it became possible to remove spleen by laparoscopic method and stop bleeding without the threat to pregnancy.
The patient has already been discharged from hospital, pregnancy proceeds without complications.
