Cochlear implant surgery was carried out again in MC Erebuni.The surgeries were performed by Professor of UCLA University Clinic otolaryngologist Dr. Akira Ishiyama together with doctors of the Department of ENT Diseases of MC Erebuni. For 18 years, 250 such surgeries have already been carried out in the MC Erebuni. Children with hearing loss of the 4th degree, who did not hear and did not speak, today are already full-fledged members of society, who are no different from their peers. 18 years ago, the cochlear implantation project in Armenia not only laid the foundation for complex surgeries to restore hearing, but also became an important medical and social project.
