Pelvic floor dysfunction, such as urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, or chronic pelvic pain, are associated with weakness or hyperactivity of the pelvic floor. Pelvic floor dysfunction in men can occur after tonsillectomy, in women-due to weight gain, diabetes mellitus, hormonal disorders. The pelvic floor muscles can also be weakened after childbirth. A new and effective method of treatment -magnetic stimulation - is currently being used in Department of Urology of MC Erebouni. Magnetic stimulation restores pelvic floor muscles, solving problems with pelvic floor dysfunction. The urologist of the Department Dr. Garegin Sargsyan speaks about the method.
