The life of a woman with Lyell

A 33-year-old woman immediately after using an antibiotic had an extremely severe allergic reaction. After receiving first aid at the regional medical center, she was taken to Allergology Service of MC Erebouni in a serious condition. After the primary examination, the head of the service, Chief allergist of Yerevan Dr. Christina Jamalyan diagnosed with Lyell's syndrome -a severe drug allergy. On admission to the medical center, the patient had an 80% lesion of the skin surface; the skin was covered with blisters, and the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, upper respiratory tract, gastrointestinal and genitourinary systems were also affected. Prior to this, the patient repeatedly used antibiotics without any allergic problems.Lyell's syndrome-a severe type of drug-induced toxicoderma. With this diagnosis, the mortality rate is quite high. Kristina Jamalyan fought for the life and health of a young woman for 20 days. Thanks to serious professional work, it was possible to save her life. The patient has been discharged with recovery.
