In MC Erebouni 38-year-old A. B. gave birth triplets - Narek, Martin and Elina. This is the second birth. A 6-years-old daughter Milena was born in a natural way. The triplets were born from the in-vitro fertilization (IVF). From the beginning of pregnancy A.B. has been under the control of specialists of MC Erebouni.
During the last one and a half months the observation was held in the Department of High Risk Pregnancy since the pregnancy in its type was unique and there was a need of inpatient pregnancy care. Birth was carried out by Cesarean section. Newborns weigh 1930, 1760 and 1600 g, their health condition is satisfactory. As told by an obstetrician–gynecologist of MC Erebouni Dr. Tigran Hovhannisyan the children stay with the mother at the same room and get breastfeeding.
Prenatal care for pregnant with triplets woman is a hard process for the doctor. “In such cases it is necessary to be extremely careful and consistent. Sometimes even in case of single fetus pregnancy the multilateral control should be carried out. It is also important the attention and care of the husband and relatives of the pregnant”. – noted Dr. Hovhannisyan.
Mother is able to distinguish her newborns-Martin, Narek and Elina. The names of children weren’t chosen by chance. ”Martin was called in honor of my father, who is the honored artist of RA. During my severe pregnancy I was rereading the book of Grigor Narekatsi, so one of the children we called Narek. And the name Elina chose my husband” - told A. B.
A 6-year-old Milena is ready to help her mother to care after the newborn brothers and a sister. ” I will help my mother”- she said.
A. B. hasn`t any problems of getting pregnant naturally, she just wanted to have many children and therefore resorted to a method of in-vitro fertilization. ”After the birth of the eldest daughter we had a great desire to have many children, and we took a chance and decided on this step. In case of in vitro fertilization the probability of multiple births is increased. By the grace of God we have had three children” - told mother of four children.
The medical staff of MC Erebouni provided caring attitude to A.B. ”I express my gratitude to all the medical staff. Nurses of the Department of Intensive Care treat my children as their own”.
