The International Multidisciplinary Annual Oncology Conference, titled “Synergy of Knowledge in the Fight Against Cancer,” is jointly organized by Erebuni Medical Center and the Ministry of Health. To participate in the conference, oncologists have arrived in Yerevan from the United States, China, Russia, Belarus, and Georgia. Specialists from oncological services in Yerevan and the regions of Armenia are also taking part.
Haikouhi Gyokchyan, Advisor to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia on Oncology and Deputy Director of Erebuni Medical Center, once again brought together under one roof oncoreproductologists, oncologic surgeons, mammologists, geneticists, radiotherapists, and clinical oncologists—all those who fight daily against a disease still considered one of the greatest challenges of our century.
As medical science continues to advance, approaches to cancer treatment are constantly evolving. Continuous education, experience exchange, and participation in conferences of this kind remain among the most effective ways to become familiar with new strategies and innovations in oncology.
This year’s conference is truly multidisciplinary. For the first time, the agenda also included a nursing program. Topics such as comprehensive nursing care for oncology patients and palliative care were discussed by specialists together with Salpi Agarakyan, President of the Armenian International Medical Fund based in the United States.
At the conclusion of the conference, the guests expressed their appreciation and once again look forward to the next gathering in sunny and hospitable Yerevan.
