Innovative Oncogynecology Department at Erebuni Medical Center
A new department and a new operating suite equipped with state-of-the-art operating rooms and modern solutions have been launched at Erebuni Medical Center. The department is outfitted with the latest-generation RUBINA 3D endoscopic systems by the renowned German company Karl Storz, specifically designed for oncogynecological surgery.
These systems provide high-precision imaging essential for complex surgical procedures involving delicate tissues and organs. The technology enables surgeons to distinguish tumor tissue from healthy tissue and allows for highly accurate navigation in small and hard-to-reach anatomical areas.
Thanks to the system’s advanced design and optimal ergonomics, the duration of lengthy oncogynecological surgeries is significantly reduced, while surgical trauma is minimized. The technology also enables safe and effective surgery in patients with a high body mass index.
The newly established department is headed by Virab Sisakyan, an oncogynecologist with extensive professional experience in the Russian Federation, former Head of the Oncogynecological Service of the Novosibirsk Regional Oncology Center, a Candidate of Medical Sciences, and a specialist who has completed numerous advanced training programs at leading clinics worldwide.
