The Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, visited Erebuni Medical Center, where she observed a robotic-assisted surgical procedure. Onco-urologist Arman Tsaturyan performed a radical prostatectomy (prostate removal) due to cancer. This marked the tenth robotic-assisted surgery carried out at Erebuni Medical Center.
The Executive Director of Erebuni Medical Center, Mikael Manukyan, presented to the Minister the key features of robotic surgery, discussed its high-tech capabilities, and particularly highlighted its advantages in oncology.
It was once again emphasized that the robot does not operate independently; it fully replicates the surgeon’s precise hand movements.
