Biography
1956, born on april 14 in Yerevan, Armenia
1963–1973, completed primary and secondary education at A. S. Pushkin secondary school
1973–1980, studied at the medical faculty of Yerevan State Medical Institute
1980–1981, completed internship at the 2nd emergency hospital in Yerevan
until 1984, worked as an emergency physician at Ashtarak central regional hospital
1984–1985, resident doctor in the thoracic surgery department of the 2nd emergency hospital, Yerevan
1986–1992, head of the endocrine surgery department at Erebuni hospital; during 1990–1992 also served as chief physician
1992–2007, founder and director of Erebuni Medical Center
1995–1996, head of the military medical department of the ministry of defense of the republic of Armenia; deputy of the national assembly of the republic of Armenia (1995–1999)
2002–2007, founder and director of Nairi Medical Center
since 2003, head of the department of endocrine surgery at the national health institute, ministry of health of the republic of Armenia
since 2005, chairman of the medical commission of the Olympic committee of the republic of Armenia
2007–2012, minister of health of the republic of Armenia
2014–2016, minister of health of the republic of Artsakh
